Taylor At The Bat

Umpire: Okay, let's go over the ground rules. You can't leave first until you chug a beer. Any man scoring has to chug a beer. You have to chug a beer at the top of all odd-numbered innings. Oh, and the fourth inning is the beer inning.
Chief Wiggum: [in baseball uniform] Hey, we know how to play softball
That was a quote from the Simpsons, the episode was "Homer at the Bat".
So as you can tell softball had something to do with my weekend. Lets recap.
Saturday - Woke up around 9 because my girlfriend was twittering and I have her on my alerts, got up and played Bully on my 360, then after she let me know she was out of class I went to pick her up so we could head to the Santa Fe Springs swapmeet to watch Damage Inc. (a Metallica tribute band). We got there and met up with her family and some of our friends during the first set then mobbed over to the bleachers after the set was over and took over, we sat and drank and sang and watched the other two sets, I was kinda buzzed and got chicken sandwich all over my shirt, but all in all it was fun. After the show we headed over to my girlfriends house and rested, the mixture of heat and alcohol had made us tired. Later that day we went to get some scratchers and some chili fries for her. We went back to her house hung out, then I took off home. I didn't sleep so I stayed up until I had to some to work.
Sunday - Went to work, hung out. After work I went home to change into something I could play softball in. I played one mission in Bully and took off. Got the field did some practice hitting and fielding, then played two games. We lost the first game but won the second. I did ok, I had a triple a some singles, my fielding could use some work. After the second game my and my girlfriend took off to her house so she could change her shoes and I could wash up, by now my body was coming down because I was working on no sleep and I was tired. We met everyone at Shakeys and ate and drank and relaxed, after we ate we played some games and I took my girlfriend home. By now my body was on empty, I was so tired. I drove home, took a shower and went to bed, knocking out.
Softball will be played every other Sunday, in between will be Sundays full of either gaming or Golfing.

I like to play devils advocate

Some times I like to play devils advocate, mostly to get a rise out of people. I like going against the opposite of what someone says just to get them mad or aggravated, and for some reason I can always hold my own in a debate when that happens. Its not always that you know the information, its that you know how to bullshit your way through an argument and drive it to a topic you are more familiar with.
When I was younger I was afraid to do this, I would keep to myself and just take it all in, never giving any back. Now that I am older I find myself finding situations that allow me to join in and say something. Instigator is something that you may call me, and for that I say thank you, give me a title, keep my name coming out of your mouth, make me famous.
Here at work I am known as the "mean one", mostly because I am to a point of confidence where no one here can hurt me, no one can say anything to me because they don't want me going off on them. It's a nice set up, knowing that what I say goes and that my word will be the final one. There are some who try to challenge me, but they fail miserably. Those who step up get knocked down and ridiculed by me, as well as others, its refreshing to know I have that kind of power.

Yay its Friday

Well.....I guess we can't all be happy its Friday

Its kinda like Christmas in March....

On Christmas Eve of last year I treated myself to numerous drinks, getting home at 3am with a strong buzz and having to get up at 6am for work at 7am was not the best of ideas, but it happened. Christmas was "fun" for the first couple of hours, pounding water and Gatorade, at the10am mark my headache went away and I was ok.
Last night I treated myself to 4 heffenwizens and a shot of patron, with no water chaser. That was around 8pm, I went back to my girlfriends house, because I went drinking with her brother, and left around 9:30pm. Oh the drive...no double vision, but I was fully aware of my surroundings. I made it home ok and proceeded to take a much deserved pee, I showered and went bed. I woke up promptly at 2am, 3 hours shy of my usual wake up time. I had a diet coke because for some reason that was what I was craving and went back to bed. Now I am not sure if you know this but, nothing is on at 2am. I watched infomercials and the weather channel. I tried to go to sleep but I couldn't, I looked at the clock and it was 3:15, I tossed and turned, and found a re-airing of an earlier Leno, I ended up falling asleep and waking up with a small but effective headache. I got dressed and came to work, on time mind you, and hit the bathroom for what I can expect to be the first of many beer shits. Now I am back at my desk drinking powerade and coffee and feeling a lot better, hopefully the lack of sleep I got last night will help me sleep like a baby tonight

Yay its back on tonight

Mission Accomplished

I finally beat F.E.A.R., well I beat it on Saturday, a day later than I expected but thats how it was with that game. I would get stuck at a place and not get past it, turn the game off and come back to it the next day or later that same day and totally own that level, only to get to a new part that I got stuck at. Friday I was stuck at this part that I could not pass, so finally on Saturday, while listening to some podcasts, I beat the level and eventually beat the game. The ending wasn't that much of a surprise, I knew what was going to happen because I played the F.E.A.R. 2 demo, and all the gaming podcasts were talking about it and talking about the end of part one, the one thing I did like it when they are in the helicopter and the girl climbs up, that I did not see coming. I am debating whether go to back to Assasins Creed or Gears of War, in Assasins Creed I am stuck at a part that is optional but I like completing the game 100%, in gears of war I am stuck at the gas station, I am not sure which one to choose.

Another Friday Ending With a Night Alone

The only thing is, this time its not becauyse of a fight. My girlfriend has a sorority thing where they dance, sing, man hate and sacrafice their bras, the usual Friday night antics for a group of mexican girls.

Now I know that this hot ass picture of Kat Dennings has nothing to do with Friday, but I just think she is really hawt!

So back to a Friday with no girlfriend, my day is going to be filled with work then off home to hang out and play games, actually one game I want to try to beat F.E.A.R.

Yes I know I have not beat it yet but I play it a little at a time. I have a big group games I have that I try to give time each day, but its tough. Some games I get stuck on and push those aside to play easier games that I am some what good at, or other times I will sit and spend hours on Peggle and not play any other games.
I have no more beer, but I have some chocolate and diet coke, also some powerades, so that is what I will be doing tonight, maybe I will go back to another game that I was stuck on and play that, but either way it Friday so enjoy

Brain Throw up

Does anyone listen when we talk, do people unsderstand you when you say something. Sitting alone in a pizza place within a bowling alley listening to bad music and little kids yelling, while your girlfriend sits with her friends having a good time really starts letting your brain fly. What to discuss, well let's see as you read below I am going to Comic Con in July with my best friend, 4 days of comic reading fun and most likely a lot of beer drinking. Now for the worst transition ever, bowling alley games have really taken a turn for the shitter. I know arcades have died off and are for the most part gone, but there are some arcade cabinets that pop up here and there in laundry mats and, in this case, a pizza place. Now the games aren't bad, its their upkeep that gets me. In the great case that I find marvel vs. Street fighter or any iteration of that, the thought of me playing is immediatly destroyed by the fact that the button don't work and the only direction you can go is either up or back, forget the thought of blocking, you paid 50 cents to get rocked and that's exactly what you get to watch. Well my pizza is here now, its a sorry excuse for a pizza as well, 6 inches of shit that litteraly took 45 minuts to make, what the fuck is in this and what brick and twig oven did they cook it in that took so damn long, anywho look forward to more rants and funny information, thanks for reading

I Got Mine!!!!!

I got a 4 day pass for me and my best friend Rene, if you were lucky enough to get one congrads, see you there!

Another Friday the 13th

Another Friday the 13th has come, to all of you that believe in bad luck then just stay home and play a game or hang out online, don't leave your house or something bad will happen. For the rest of us, woo hoo its Friday break out the beers and lets party!!!

Let me expand on whey I choose this picture...

I actually had this game, its pissed me off completely. If any of you has ever played the Goonies on NES then you know the concept and controls....I think it was the goonies, actually there were a lot of games that had a room with a door or two and then you just press the d-pad in the direction you wanted to go, they were more of mazes, kinda like the lost woods in Zelda except you really didn't see your character moving, he just appeared in another room with more doors.

Back to the game, I am not sure if it was my age or I was just not good at it, but I could not beat this game. I walked around throwing axes and Jason to keep him away but could not progress, I found kids running around and even used the row boat a couple of times but still nothing. I even went as far as busting out the Game Genie to help me, I had infinate life but still had no idea what to do. All I knew is that the game was only played a handful of times due to me not being able to beat it

Fart Humor Will Never Die

I think it was Kevin Smith who first introduced me into the fact that "dick and fart" jokes can make a movie great. What can I say as the years go by I am more and more amused by dirty and foul humor.
I like to laugh at people who fart loud or if it smells, today a guy farted at work and it was kinda loud so I emailed my friends and told them, then went to my GMAIL and put up that he had just farted and I left it there for a couple of hours so anyone at work could see. I am not sure if anyone did but at least two people commented on it. A couple of months ago I walked in on our little room and everyone in there was busting up laughing, apparently one of the girls had gone to the bathroom and another girl who worked here went in and just ripped a shaker in the bathroom, the girl didn't want to laugh so she left without being noticed, now thats just funny.
I sometimes sit at home and rip ones, and laugh to myself because they smell and for some reason they make me smile. When it comes to me farting, ask my girlfriend, I am not shy. I will do it for the sheer pleasure of making someone feel uncomfortable or just to get a reaction.
My best story for this is when I was in middle school and I was at the movies with some friends, I let a fart rip so nasty that the people in front of us had to move two rows down because it smelled, of course me and my friends just laughed because it was funny as shit, but thats how it was.
I think the fact that I am lactose intolerant is another reason why I think they are funny, I have to. If I was embarrassed, life would be hard when I had to drink milk or eat ice cream. I sometimes eat or drink dairy if I know I will be around my friends or my girlfriend, its the faces and sounds they produce that makes it worth it
Fart wars are another delacasy that me and my best friend Rene take part in, we are planning a day of beer, hot dogs, mayo, cheese and a closed room, lets see who emerges victorious.

Another Immature moment

Music Soothes the Savage Beast

I was going to name this post "a case of the Mondays", but rumor has it people get their ass kicked for saying things like that.

In any case it's Monday, the first day of the work week, for me at the help desk it means morons forgetting their information becase they were off for two days and had a brain fart and only remember how to get to work but not how to do their jobs. I am glad these are not video phones because of two reasons

1. I don't want people to see me yawning or sleeping while they try to make small talk while a PC is rebooting

2. I don't want to see these people in general, if they can't remember a password, who knows what else they have forgotten, make up, brushing their teeth, etc.

The only way to relax me is to listen to music, happy music makes me forget momentarally about the call I am currently on. On less busy days I like to listen to podcasts, mostly video game podcasts from former EGM workers and current 1up workers, all links to these sites can be found in my list of links.

I am a gamer

I am a gamer, it is what I like and like to do. I was not a very social person when I was younger and the thought of going outside and playing did not match the thought of staying home and playing a game. I remember getting "The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker" for the GameCube and litarlly siting there for 12 hours straight and playing, not caring that I was passing the time away and the term "waste of a day" never crossed my mind. I game, I love video games. Some may call it an addiction but it is a place where I don't get judged, no one can judge this book because all they see if my skill on a game. I game as much as I can in all of my free time and thats fine with me, I have been gaming since I was 7 years old and I got my first Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), I had a shit load of games and I loved it. I have had every up to date system that has come out, and with that system I get awesome games that I play for hours on end.
Recently with technology I am able to now listen to video game podcasts and watch video podcasts about video games, it gives me perspective from professional video game journalists, it is both funny and informative.
When I was young I read "Electronic Gaming Monthly" or "EGM" for short, this was my number one video game source on news when I was young and up until they shut down in January of 2009 they were still one of my top news sources, they were influentual in my gaming life and I can tuely say that I was saddened when I heard they were closing their doors. I am happy though they have all moved into other video gaming companies and joined to form numerous podcasts that I subscribe to.
I am not unhappy that gaming has taken up most of my free time I have chosen to make it that way, when you need to get away and want to escape you do so in a game, when money is tight and you need to pass the time and forget all your problems, games are there for you.
